Many of you know our story or have been fans for a long time. About five years ago, PMP decided to take a break from the music scene. Some of us pursued new careers, and others started families. Either way, it was nice to stop the non-stop touring, preparing for shows, practice, recording new music, and writing while our families and children suffered. After some time, something happened. We are all still not sure what, but our music started spreading all over the world in a cascading effect that has continued to this day. As things got bigger, we talked and decided it was time to start creating new music. Unfortunately, our lives and schedules were not what they once were, but we decided to start writing some tunes and record them. With our lives and schedules now, months can go by without all four of us being in the same room at the same time. Because Dustin records our music, we can write and record at our own pace regardless of our random schedules. This enables us to continue creating new material. Since we stopped performing, even the way people listen to music has changed. Because of this, we decided it would be best to put ALL our effort into every song to create thoughtful, complex music that lives up to the PMP name. Rather than blowing through the production of an album, we decided it would be best to fully focus and create a couple of songs at a time and release more quality material, more frequently. That being said, we have put a ton of work into the new songs we are releasing, and we are very proud of them. This will be a new beginning for Poor Man's Poison. We are not able to play shows for the time being, given our very random and opposite schedules, but we will do our best to put out quality music. If, by chance, that changes in the future, we will be sure to spread that word to the fullest extent. Thank you all for your patience and support!
Sincerely,
Poor Man’s Poison
